Community service

The senior women of the Sikh community are in the Rosoi(cooking) service of the Langar(free community-food for all) as a part of the religious-festival and helping in arranging before cooking by cleaning, peeling-skins & chopping of carrots with which a recipe will be cooked & served to the visitors. The quantity is huge and this practice of several centuries continues from one generation to the next one through the cultural-legacy of the seniors of the community justifying the prudence of their matured long-living.
