The philosophy of longevity and the paradigm shift in demographic ageing.
Conversations in Salamanca is a series promoted by the International Center on Longevity (CENIE) that brings together internationally renowned figures to reflect on the major challenges and opportunities posed by the phenomenon of aging societies. In a context of profound demographic transformations, this space for dialogue was created with the aim of bringing cutting-edge knowledge closer to the public, promoting a broad and rigorous understanding of aging from multiple disciplines.
Held in the city of Salamanca, these conversations have featured the participation of prominent scientists, thinkers, and experts — such as Aubrey de Grey, Juan Carlos Izpisua, Tom Kirkwood, Pascal Bruckner, and Shlomo Benartzi — who, through their interventions, have contributed to enriching the public debate around health, biotechnology, behavioral economics, philosophy, and cellular regeneration.
With an open, inclusive, and forward-looking approach, the series is one of CENIE’s flagship initiatives in its commitment to fostering a positive, informed, and transformative vision of aging and longevity.
