Great acceptance of the course "Introduction to Ageing for Innovators"

Introduction 

Exceptional participation in the course promoted by the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca and the International Centre on Ageing (CENIE)

The online course "Introduction to Ageing for Innovators", promoted by the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca and the International Centre on Ageing (CENIE), within the framework of the INTERREG V-A Programme, Spain-Portugal, POCTEP, 2014-2020, of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has been exceptionally well received in the month since its presentation.

In this first month, it has had 555 students, of which 211 have already obtained the Completion Certificate.

More than 2,500 people have been interested in the course and have visited more than 26,000 pages of course content.

Spain was the main source of those interested, followed by Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia and Mexico.

The course, which forms part of the so-called MOOC (Massive Open Online Course), an online learning modality that is growing worldwide and which is aimed at an unlimited number of participants via the Internet. 

The MOOCs aim to transform the way we educate; they are open, free of charge, anyone interested can register and participate from anywhere at any time.
