Ageing Congress 2018: Portugal hosts congress on ageing
The Agein Congress 2018 will be held between May 27 and 29, in Coimbra, Portugal, an international conference on aging organized by ANGES - National Association of Social Gerontology (Portugal) and the InterTech Group, of the Polytechnic University of Valencia ( Spain).
The aging of population, and the associated challenges, deserve an integrated multidisciplinary analysis, to optimize knowledge and develop cross-cutting actions that promote active and healthy aging in its various aspects.
Experts from several countries will present and discuss pertinent issues in the field of aging in this large-scale event, where 16 conferences, 4 workshops and 90 free communications will be held, subordinated to 9 areas related to aging:
- Aging and Health;
- Learning throughout life;
- Functional capacity: The key to healthy aging;
- Psychology and Psychiatry;
- Equipment for the elderly;
- Work and aging;
- Aging and Society;
- Senior Tourism, Medical and Health;
- Doctoral Consortium
The Ageing Congress 2018 includes in its Committee of Honor, the portuguese Ministers of Health and Labor, and Solidarity and Social Security, as well as the rectors and presidents of several portuguese and spanish universities and f higher education institutions, among other renowned personalities, counting with more than 70 institutional partners, among them higher education institutions, solidarity institutions and professional associations.
