Biography

Degree in Sociology, completed a PhD (2009) at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon. His research focused on the social care of the elderly, exploring issues such as reconciling work and care, family care experiences and the preservation of dignity in adulthood. Currently, his research interests include ageing, active ageing, the elderly, health and long-term care, inequalities in old age and sexuality in old age.
